Edited video highlights from the Day of Action Against Fees that took place in Dublin on Wednesday 4th February 2009. Organised by the Union of Students in Ireland (USI), at least 15000 students took to the streets to protest against the reintroduction of fees and student loans. Students came from across the country to make their voices heard and make it clear that they will not be used as scapegoats in the current economic climate. Now is the time to Invest in Education and to Invest in Ireland. Education is the Key to Ireland’s Future and taking such a monumental step backwards as introducing tuition fees would harm not just thousands of students but thousands of families and the country’s economy for decades to come. The Union of Students in Ireland needs YOU to help keep the pressure on the Government and our elected representatives. Register to vote, sign our petitions and lobby your local TDs to let them know that education is a right not a privilege and a vote by them for fees and loans is a vote lost by them from you. Fore more information on how you can defend education, get in touch with us on enquiries@usi.ie or through www.usi.ie. Enjoy the video, Union of Students in Ireland
